May be was already posted. I am with covid ( since 12 days ago  ) , on quarantine, so have to much time free , and found this 2019 podcast ( knew about Joe Rogan, nothing to special on him, but the interviewed, this Journalist  Johann Hari , first time I heard anything from him, it is extremely interesting to heard and all really interesting subjects :

Sorry to hear about your COVID :-( There's increasing evidence that vitamin D helps, so you may wish to Google that and see if it's beneficial to you.

Anyway Johann Hari used to write for the British newspaper called The Independent, which sadly is a mere shadow of its former self. Shame as we need independent news more than ever. There is still a website independent DOT co DOT uk that's not bad. Anyway, years ago Hari got caught making up quotations in interviews. He claimed he was just clarifying what interviewees had meant, but obviously there was a big outcry about it, including from other journalists since some of the quotations seemed to be plagiarised. 

In a way that is the background to him going off and researching addiction, since he acknowledged his own unhealthy behaviours and wanted to explore them. So he's seemingly a reformed character who has taken his career in a different direction. He's an interesting person, whatever his previous flaws as a journalist I think he's found a new niche for himself. He argues for a profoundly different way of looking at addiction... really it comes from academics (mainly psychologists) researching the matter. So I guess his role is simplifying the science so it makes sense to intelligent but non-expert members of the general public.

So I'll certainly watch these episodes - thanks for the links!

Just checked: The term was popularized by the media shortly after a press conference given on June 18, 1971, by President Richard Nixon—the day after publication of a special message from President Nixon to the Congress on Drug Abuse Prevention and Control—during which he declared drug abuse "public enemy number one".

Before all this "don't prescribe anything for pain as you may addict someone" came along

I was always getting 750 Mg V1cs or 750 Mg L0r3cets and I never knew anyone addicted...

Now, I cannot get a Dr to prescribe a V1c 5 for fear I ma become "dependent" .. Ugh NO...

Correct me if I am wrong but one 750 Mg V1codin3 is equal to 150 V1c 5 Mb ...
