Thanks for all the wonderful information on eating healthy. I drink lots of water. have for like 20 years. Thank god , I like water I know people who don't at all. It's helped with energy, feeling better and I think better skin, too. Only issue is going to bathroom A LOT. When my kids were little, I knew every place I could stop and use the public bathroom as I carpooled and drove them from activity to activity. lol
I also never ate sugar but a while back became completely addicted. I would buy bags of life savers' gummies and sour patch kids' candies, and eat bags at a time. And I craved more and more. I had "hangover symptoms, fatigue and general malaise. I stopped eating sugar very recently and have started working out have begun to feel much better. But it hasn't been easy.
I watched so many documentaries on food: Food, Inc., Vegicated, King Corn or another on sugar and fructose corn syrup. There is a lot of propaganda in a lot of them (according to my son, anyway, lol), but the ones on sugar resonated with me. For example, experiments with rats show the addictive nature of sugar and how the corn industry doesn't want to list sugar in table spoons on product packaging bc it would be too easy for Americans to figure out how much added sugar is in the product. It's so much harder for us to figure out grams.
I stay away from sugar. I believe it is addicting, at least for me.
I hope everyone else is doing well in their attempts to eat healthy.
