AC/DC co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young dies at 64
#3
Oh, the icons of my younger days are dropping like flies.  They all leave a void, but Bon Scott years ago and Malcolm Young more recently hit like sledgehammers.  AC/DC with Bon as the front man was more or less the soundtrack of my junior high school and freshman / sophomore years of high school, my beloved and dearly departed wife and I dated to the sounds of "Sin City", "TNT", "Back Door Man", and of course the ubiquitous "Walk All Over You" and "Highway To Hell".  Every house party we attended some time later included "Whole Lot of Rosie", and my friends were overjoyed when I produced a cassette tape with "It's a Long Way to the top if you Wanna Rock & Roll".  Years later my post-Grad study partner remarked "I've seen Air Guitar, Air Drums, even Air Saxophone, but Bon Scott playing "Air Bagpipes" is the top of the pyramid.

Look up "It's a Long Way" on Youtube, it is well worth the watch.

R.I.P., Malcolm, may you and Bon prepare the heavenly party of all time for when your bandmates (God forbid any time soon) join you in Elysium.
A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
