Thanks so much for your help, all. I do appreciate it. I do take the occasional benzo but since I have been through withdrawal from them after daily (prescribed) use, I know to be careful. Interesting point about tricyclic ADs, as I took trazodone for insomnia during pregnancy.
Unfortunately, what my job did is completely legal, as they eliminated my position "due to business restructuring." As for selecting me and not the man, he had seniority, and they can use whatever criteria they want to decide who to cut. I've talked to attorneys who suggested filing an EEOC grievance, but it is terribly involved and requires a 2 hour in-person office visit which, as a stay at home mom with an infant, I can't really do. So, not exactly fair, but them's the breaks. A LOT of women I know have had this happen to them. America's workplaces are entirely family unfriendly, especially for women.
