NY Heat Tips
#3
well, now i hear that being this is such an older home (and the historical society chose to save the one behind us.  not us, the dirty rats,) that we don't have a proper outlet for my AC.

oh.  could be a myth.  but, i could swear i lost one AC, a few years back or so, cuz i plugged into a differing socket/voltage than it required.

[i believe the old wive's tales now.  not only because now i am an older widow, i qualify. because i have seen some elements of truth in the alleged "tale."   me mother always said do not use the telephone when there is a thunder and lightening storm.  and, i laughed at the silly notion.  then, about ten yrs ago, way past her death, it happened again to a woman in my former childhood/adult neighborhood.  me mother was correct.]

All of the above is totally irrelevant but to introduce the fact that i am therefore trying what is called the redneck/hillbilly method of Air Conditioning.  It would seem one freezes water in bottles and puts them in front of a fan.

I don't fall for a placebo effect.  I think this myth of redneck AC is busted--u have to have had a son whom told u to watch myth busters, as mine did, to get the reference.
