Proverbs 18:11 - 13
11 The rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and as an high wall in his own conceit.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility.
13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it,
it is folly and shame unto him.
Today's Prayer...
Lord our God,,
Grant us your Spirit, that we may discern your good, acceptable,
and perfect will. Give us joy in fighting on your side, so that what
is good, acceptable, and perfect may be given to the world. Wherever
we are and whatever work we do, give us zeal to serve you and
be guided by you so that your will may be done and your kingdom come,
so that already today we may find happiness even though only in hope.
In the Name of the Most Holy we
