Slick, that sounds a horrible experience. I hope the pain eases and you make a swift recovery. My sister fractured her foot a few years ago - it healed fine but she had a miserable couple of months. If the crutches hurt your hands (e.g. blisters) then tape your hands to protect your skin. Leukotape is ideal, but things like duct tape will also work. Best wishes.
4 hours in a hospital... Yes I understand your concern. Every month I have to visit a pharmacy for my medication and I always have to wait ages in this space filled with sick people coughing and hardly anyone wearing a mask. I'm supposed to visit a hospital for a blood test and right now my area is back on lockdown so I really don't want to go anywhere near a hospital!
2020 has really really really sucked. If it were a TV series I'd have stopped watching ;-)
