What up right back at ya!! I’m back thanks to the hard works of the aforementioned especially Steel. It’s nice to be back and now I can actually use this forum with my iPh@ne. Gosh, it feels damn good to be back. I need to do some reading up!! And sorry to hijack this thread!!

Hello all,

Past couple days I was experiencing very slow internet so went through some standard protocol before troubleshooting. This included wiping all browser cookies. So upon visiting here, the forum prompted me for my credentials. Well I must say, as tech savvy as I am, it wasn't smooth sailing logging back in. Not complaining by any means, just sharing, in case anyone else is locked out can read this without logging in.

1st login attempt used original password. This didn't work. Yes it contains upper and lower case letters and numbers. Special characters aren't required but I use them as well.

I confirmed Password does need to be a minimum of 8 characters. Both letters and numbers. Minimum 1 upper case.

I performed a password reset and that took two attempts before the generated pass was accepted.

Once logged in I reset my password and received a confirmation via window prompt and email notification of 'Change of Password at IOPList.org'

logged out to test new password function and forum didn't recognize it.

Requested new pass and forum didn't recognize that either.

A 2nd request was the ticket.

Logged out and used generated pass to log back in. Forum didn't didn't recognize it.

Rinse and repeat..

Think I'll just stay logged in with the generated pass..

I should also mention: Anyone requesting a password reset through 'Forgot Password?' protocol, or setting up a new account, understand most if not all correspondence emails from IOPList will land in your spam folder. So be sure to check there.

Also if you are 'locked out', so to speak, and unsure which email you used to register on IOPLIst (Some people have numerous) simply start the registration process and enter the email you believe is correct. If you enter a currently used email the system will kick back a prompt 'email is already in use'. That is your registered email with IOPList and the account you should be trying to retrieve. If the email is incorrect, I don't recommend responding to the email confirmation from IOPList, as you'll create a whole new account...

Indeed! The above email is the only path of communication to IOPList if you are logged out. Maybe keep a copy of STEEL's email handy just in case....

yes yes yes, I can vouch for this one. He saved my rear and so did Charon. I had proton mail and it blew up my account here. So I had to switch usernames but most people who need to know me, know me. And I’m still trying to meet new friends here. Cuz I sure dam@ love this family. 

and sometimes you get an error message when entering username and password, but the 2nd time usually works for me.
