RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Laxfinity - 03-07-2019 I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars. RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - folken - 03-09-2019 Worried and frustrated? 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - LostInTheMix - 03-09-2019 Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it. Helen Keller I read this one the other day and had a good cry. I am not in good shape in many ways but by no means do/did I experience what H.Keller did. It gives me hope that if a person can endure so much and still have hope and overcome their medical issues then maybe I can too. Even if I cannot heal my body I hope I can mentally overcome all of this. Some days my hope is nil. Reading this one really helps me on bad days. I hope it can help someone here as well. Want to add one more. The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves -Alan Watts Be well everyone RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - willie33 - 03-10-2019 p
RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - folken - 03-12-2019 Yeah you can have everything you want out of life--- if you just help enough people get what they want out of life. RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - willie33 - 03-12-2019 Matthew 7:7-12 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - folken - 03-15-2019 For those slaughtered in NZ 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. AMEN...……………………….. RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - folken - 03-17-2019 Those slaughtered in NZ and for all those impacted by violence in the world. Romans 17-21 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
