Yes, I think a return visit to Kauai may be in our future, this time to the sunny side. The snorkeling their was a little better. There is nothing like being inside a giant aquarium. Just floating and taking it all in is so relaxing. I must admit that the difference of our first visit, about 20 yrs ago and 2 yrs ago are quite different in regards to snorkeling. The Big Island reefs were very bleached and looked like a grave yard. There were still plenty of fish, but much of the coral was dead or dying. Since we are going during a shoulder season, we are not counting on as much snorkeling as usual. That's ok, my trail running shoes are ready for a lot of hiking. Doing my homework and looking at trail maps now.
